HOW IT ALL STARTED

Jeff’s friend, Jim Boehm, who invited him to the well drilling class. Jim went to Sudan in 2022 and successfully drilled 3 water wells. He went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2022.

“While I cannot share, in one paragraph, all of the countless encounters, signs, and indications that have overwhelmed me since my wife’s home going after 39 years of marriage, I can tell you that I am beyond confident that I have found God’s calling on this next season on my life.” - Jeff Hunt, Founder WWJD Water Wells

IT STARTED WITH AN INVITATION FROM A FRIEND…

When founder, Jeff Hunt, accepted Jim’s invitation to attend a well drilling class in North Carolina, God started opening doors and creating a path for WWJD Water Wells.

After completing the course, conversations about the need for water wells came up in countless conversations and signs for months after. God began to make it clear that he was opening doors for the next chapter in Jeff’s life.

Jeff is planning to retire in July 2024 and devote his life to full time water well ministry.

God has graciously allowed Jeff to collaborate with his home church (Rush Creek Church) and mission partners in Mexico and Uganda to pursue drilling water wells and aid in providing sustainable and clean drinking water. He also provided the funds needed to purchase the first drilling rig and necessary supplies for our first well at the Rancho Dos Countries ranch in Zaragoza, Mexico. By God’s grace and provision, that well was completed in March of 2024.

Jeff has also made two trips to Uganda and God is opening doors to further the partnership with Eden Missions where he is hoping to begin drilling wells in the coming years.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER, JEFF HUNT

Jeff Hunt grew up in Wadsworth, OH. After he graduated high school he then moved to California when he joined the Navy. While in the Navy, several of his shipmates invited him to church where he encountered God and became a follower of Jesus. He also met his wife Patti, while in California and they were married in May 1982. Their plan was to go overseas as missionaries, bringing the gospel to the nations. Those plans changed when Patti was diagnosed with a brain tumor less than a year into their marriage. While God did provide healing of the tumor, Patti was left with health issues that prohibited them from going abroad. Over the next 39 years of ups and downs, their marriage endured. They moved to Texas in 1990, had two children, Heather & Jared, and have been a part of an incredible church family found at Rush Creek Church.

Jeff has actively served in youth ministry for over 40 years and been a deacon & trustee for the church along with many other roles of service for various organizations. He will be retiring from his full-time job of 40 years in July 2024 and devoting his life to full time water well ministry.
