New Year Update

Jan 2025  Update

Hard to believe 2025 is already here! Reflecting on 2024, it was an incredible year for me and the WWJD Water Well Ministry. Here are some of the highlights:

• We officially formed our LLC and filed for 501(c)(3) status. While the Texas government is still processing the application, we’re hopeful for confirmation soon.

• We purchased a new hydraulic drilling rig and successfully drilled a test borehole to 230 feet.

• Completed a well at Rancho Dos Countries in Mexico and installed a solar panel, ensuring the community has water even during power outages.

• Spent five weeks in Uganda, where God connected me with local drilling teams and missionaries. They generously shared their expertise, time, and equipment to help get the WWJD ministry off (or perhaps more fittingly, in) the ground

On a personal note, July 15th marked a significant turning point for me. After 40 years as a Field Service Engineer, I stepped away from working for a living to devote myself fully to living for working, serving God and advancing His Kingdom through this ministry.

Another joyful milestone—on October 26th, I became a first-time grandpa to Jireh David Hunt! I’ve decided to embrace the Swahili title “Babu,” which means grandfather. God is truly good!

Looking Ahead to 2025

In February, I am planning another trip to Uganda to negotiate an exciting opportunity with Tyson, a local IMB missionary. His ministry has the same model of drill rig we recently purchased for Mexico, and he feels led to pass it on to the WWJD ministry. The rig is almost brand new and has been used only a few times, making it a huge blessing. Acquiring it locally will save significant time and costs compared to shipping equipment from out of the country.

During the trip, I’ll also be working with a local drilling team from Texans and Ugandans on Mission. They are providing valuable expertise to help us advance the Kingdom and create sustainable water sources for local communities in Uganda. Additionally, we are in talks to purchase a Toyota Range Rover for the ministry. This vehicle will be critical for pulling trailers and transporting equipment and personnel across Uganda. While it is a significant expense at approximately 55K, we are confident that working with this team will secure us the best deal possible.

Your Continued Support

As we step into this new year, I humbly ask for your continued prayers for God’s wisdom and direction in leading His ministry. Lord willing, we will be drilling wells and advancing His Kingdom in both Mexico and Uganda this year. If you feel led to support this mission, please click on this link (https://www.wjdwaterwells.org/giving) or the donate tab on web page to make a one-time or monthly financial contribution to WWJD Water Wells.

Faith, Hope, and Love,

Jeff Hunt
