June Update
Faith Family and Friends,
I wanted to update everyone on how the water well ministry is progressing. It took several trips, but we were able to complete the well at the Ranch in Zaragosa Mexico in March. It is currently running off a generator and we are in the process of determining whether to run electric to it or use solar power. Please be praying for God’s direction on this matter.
We were able to work through several issues while drilling and learned several important lessons. Mainly, we learned we will be drilling through some pretty hard rock formations, which while we were able to get through, the process was very slow. It really took a toll on the mechanical transmission of our LS200. After much prayer and discussion with experts in the field, we have decided to upgrade to an LH300, a hydraulic system which is able to drill through hard rock formations much easier. We will be keeping the LS200 for now and researching the feasibility of using it in Uganda. I have a trip scheduled in mid-August to travel to the Uganda area with our Eden Mission partner to help determine the logistics involved with drilling over there. If we are not able to use the LS200 there or in Mexico, the manufacturer has offered to assist with reselling it.
The cost of the new rig is right around $25,000. Thanks to the generosity of family and friends who have donated to the ministry we have about two-thirds of this raised already. Due to this, I have asked the company to begin building the system for us which takes about 2-3 months. We are praying for delivery sometime around mid-July, which is when I will be officially retiring (July 15th ) from my current job and devoting all my time to WWJD Water Well ministry.
Another exciting update for the ministry is we were able to obtain our registered LLC designation. This was an important step in gaining all the necessary licenses and documentation to effectively move forward as an official organization. Big thanks to all my friends who are more legally-minded and were able to use their expertise to get this done.
Please continue to be praying for clear direction on power for the well in Zaragosa, my trip to Uganda, and funding for the new rig and location/drilling another well in Mexico by the end of the year. Here is the link to my church’s webpage that has the information and the option to make online donations. https://rushcreek.managedmissions.com/OurTrips/173. Thank you all for your interest, prayers, and support on this journey God has me on. I look forward to keeping everyone updated as I continue this exciting new chapter of my life.
Faith, Hope, and Love.
